Odi Esterhuyse, Multimedia Manager

Umuzi’s resident man of Zen and voice of calm reason, Odendaal – or Odi for short – is Mr Multimedia. With 8 years in the directing game, Odi’s day-to-day superpower is his flair for experimental techniques, backed by un undefined (undefinable) management style. His lucky number is 1, so it’s no wonder he’s number 1 in our books.

Clayton Bond, Copywriting Manager

A reformed Ad man of 6 years, Clay thrives on all things words. His book case sags under the weight of books he’s stolen from his mom’s house, but the first thing he’ll utter is the fact that he built the bookshelf with his own hands. At Umuzi, he brings his advertising knowledge & management style to the table with energy and a pretty wicked running-man dance routine. He is the proud mentor to a team of fire-cracker writers at the Umuzi Academy, and happily admits that he is learning as much from them as they are from him.

Roles we train for: Art Director and Graphic Designer

Conceptual skills: Design Thinking, Observations, Insights, and Big Ideas

Technical skills: Adobe Creative Suite with focus on In-design, Photoshop, Illustrator
