By the end of the programme, Junior DevOps will be able to:
Grasp and apply tools for streamlined software delivery, improved developer experience, and achieving quicker, more reliable deployments.
Grasp essential Linux concepts: command line usage, file system navigation, basic server management, package handling, user/group management, and resource permissions.
Learn Bash scripting: creating, debugging, and executing scripts with variables, loops, conditionals, and functions. Learners will be able to use scripts to automate essential tasks such as software deployments, data backups, server monitoring, and environmental variables management.
Understand cloud computing concepts, benefits, and challenges. As our focus is on AWS, learners will gain knowledge of key AWS services and how they work.
Gain an overview of containerization and Docker. Learn to use Docker for image management and application deployment, create consistent environments for teams, and use Docker Compose for basic multi-container applications.
Comprehend CI, CD, and DevOps in software development. Discover best practices, version control integration, and setting up basic testing and deployment pipelines. Introduce monitoring and feedback for improved development processes.
Understand what Kubernetes is, key components and its role in managing applications. Set up a Kubernetes cluster, learn about key components, and deploy applications. Understand services and networking, scaling, managing data, and application packaging for basic development needs.
Discover Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and its role in automating infrastructure management. Explore IaC tools like Terraform and AWS CloudFormation. Learn the basics of Terraform and best practices for scalable and secure infrastructure.
