The African Coding Network is proud to announce a new local training partnership with Mobile Web Ghana, and recognise the important work they are doing in Accra to support young people and women to become economically active in the digital economy. It is led by two inspiring women, Florence Toffa (CEO) and Linda Ntsiful (Communications & Fundraising Officer).
Mobile Web Ghana is a technology and entrepreneurship hub dedicated to empowering young people to develop mobile and web applications and open data solutions to solve local problems. Their goal is to build the capacity of young tech-enthusiasts to be able to meet the demands of the rapidly growing tech industry in Ghana. They create a conducive working environment for tech-businesses by offering them co-working space and start-up mentoring.
On Thursday, 20th October, 2022 Mobile Web Ghana launched their American Spaces and Support Programming Project at the American Corner Agbogba. This project is aimed at working with recruitment agencies, entrepreneurs and women-led organisations to empower, prepare, build and develop young people and women with work-readiness skills. Mobile Web Ghana are partnering with the US Embassy Ghana and Elidel Prestige Limited as partners for this project.
The African Coding Network will be supporting learners in Mobile Web Ghana’s community with access to digital skills training opportunities including Grow with Google scholarships. This is the beginning of an exciting partnership to support young people, especially women, to become economically active in the digital economy.
Umuzi founded the ACN to expand its impact across the continent, by creating a network of local training partners to support young people to develop the digital skills required to participate in the growing digital economy.
