Wanted: Umuzi Partner Manager: Corporate relationships

Umuzi is looking for a mid-level Partner Manager to support Umuzi and our Partners in the end-to-end implementation of Grad programmes, Unemployed Learnerships and Employed Learnerships.

Umuzi is looking for a mid-level Partner Manager to support Umuzi and our Partners in the end-to-end implementation of Grad programmes, Unemployed Learnerships and Employed Learnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

This is a client-facing role. Key responsibilities and deliverables include:

  • Build strong relationships with new and existing Umuzi partners, leveraging your strategic capabilities to understand their business needs and support the Umuzi product team in packaging products that meet those needs and add meaningful value to our partners.

  • Leverage your personal network to support the business development function at Umuzi in generating high-potential leads for future partnerships.

  • Work with multiple internal teams to conceptualise, propose and implement projects to ensure a smooth end-to-end programme delivery process for partners. This includes: renewal of contracts, learner recruitment, learner and partner onboarding, rollout and delivery of Umuzi programmes, ongoing communication with internal and external stakeholders, learner progress tracking, reporting and work experience placements.

  • Work with Learner Support team and Umuzi’s Education teams to project manage remote programme delivery: this person will be responsible for the ultimate success of the programme measured, among other things, on learner completion rates, learner feedback, partner satisfaction, the growth of these relationships and the renewal of contracts year-on-year.

  • Representing learner and partner interests in the partnerships project teams.

  • Escalation of issues to the relevant internal stakeholders to ensure timeous resolution.

  • Contribute to process development and systems decisions based on partners’ needs.

Qualifications & Experience

This is a mid-level position, requiring 5+ years of experience in a similar client-facing role. Project management experience and/or time working in the corporate education sector will be beneficial, as will a working knowledge of skills development, B-BBEE and/or the SETA environment. Experience in business development and growing key accounts through relationship building will be highly advantageous.
