With a space as versatile as ours, there’s a lot going on a lot of the time…
… and with a year of lockdown, masks and social distancing - Umuzi has evolved from the crib to the cloud; from an epic space in Jeppestown, Johannesburg to the world wide web.
Umuzi Kickers is an initiative we’ve launched as a means of keeping our friends and external communities up to date with happenings and events going down in and around our space - as well as making some absolutely necessary noise for the recruits making waves behind the scenes on their journeys to high-value careers.
Hacktoberfest 2020 - A month-long celebration of open source software organised by Digital Ocean
It’s a chance to improve your coding skills by working on global, real-time projects
It’s a radical opportunity to drive the growth of open source and make a positive impact whether you’re full steam on the developer train or still learning to code
Last month a number of our recruits took part in this initiative (and thanking the powers that be that coding happens online) we are http://STOKED.co.za that 9 of our community members had their pull requests merged!
Individual Attendance
